Are you interested in being involved with the Gold Coast Festival of Kites which will be held at Kirra on Saturday 21 October?
Connecting Southern Gold Coast are calling for volunteers to be part of the operational team which includes helping with the setup and pack down of fencing, tents and signage.
Volunteers will be needed during the following days and times and for the following duties:
Friday 20 October: 1:00pm - 5:00pm (exact times confirmed closer to date)
- Help set up crowd barriers
Saturday 21 October: 8:00am – 10:00am
- Help set up tents
- Filling of sandbags
- Assist Kite Flyers in setting up, ensure they have water and food throughout the day.
- Assist in keeping people away from the crowd barriers
Saturday 21 October: 3:00pm – 6:00pm
- Help pack down tents
- Emptying of sandbags
- Assist Kite Flyers in packing down, ensure they have water and food throughout the day.
- Assist in keeping people away from the crowd barriers
- Pack down the crowd barrier
Volunteers will be provided with lunch, water, a certificate of appreciation for your help and CSGC are willing to be used as a point of reference for any future job endeavours.
Please wear a hat, sunscreen, closed shoes, black pants and/or shorts and a T-shirt will be provided.
