Dr Kim Prescott, Veterinarian, is the owner of her third generation family business, the Tugun Veterinary Surgery on Golden Four Drive. Kim’s grandfather, Dr Charles (Charlie) Prescott worked as a vet on the Gold Coast, covering an entire area from Murwillumbah to Southport from the 1950s to the 70s. Following in his footsteps, Kim’s father Dr Robert (Bob) Prescott graduated as a vet and first began practicing at Nobby Beach, before buying the practice in Tugun in 1986. He stayed there for 24 years, handing over the reins to daughter Kim in 2008 before retiring in 2010. ..
The Tugun Progress Association has welcomed in a new President, Adam Gilltrap. Former President, Nadia Sunde, has moved out of the Southern Gold Coast, so has passed the hat on to Adam.
