Cooly Rocks On has elected a new Management Committee to carry the Festival forward in 2016 and beyond. Outgoing Chair Gail O’Neill has handed over the reins to Jimmy Maxwell, however Gail will continue as Vice Chair. An all new executive has been elected and several new members have joined the committee. ..
Buskers by the Creek 2015 was another great success, held on 17 and 18 October at Winders Park, Currumbin. Thousands turned out to be entertained by the unique mix of bands, solo artists, street performers, acrobats, yoga classes, skydivers, fire twirling and more – all happening across the free two-day event.
Bleach* Festival’s new parent company Bleached Arts Ltd has flown the coop, departing the CSGC offices in Tugun and moving into their new home at Station Street in Currumbin. It’s a positive for the Southern Gold Coast to continue to have the heart of the Festival based here and we look forward to seeing what’s in store for Bleach* 2016. ..
The first Gold Coast International Festival of Kites was held on September 26 – 27, with kites flying across the Gold Coast at Kirra, Broadbeach and Surfers Paradise.
