Tugun to Bilinga Oceanway Officially Opens

Travelling from Tugun to Bilinga has never looked so good as the missing piece of the Currumbin to Coolangatta Oceanway is now officially open.

The 1.7km path commenced construction last July and was officially opened by State Government Minister Mark Bailey (Minister for Transport and Main Roads), Acting Mayor Donna Gates and Cr Gail O’Neill at a free community celebration in January.

Costing $4 million, the shared path provides an oceanfront link for pedestrians and cyclists between Toolona Street, Tugun and the Bilinga Surf Life Saving Club.
