Over 400 guests attended the Currumbin Wildlife Hospital Foundation’s Annual Gala Dinner in May this year to raise funds and awareness in support of Currumbin Wildlife Hospital. The Animals with Attitude and Gala Dinner events successfully raised over $80,000 profit for the Foundation, but there is still a way to go to reach their target of $1 million a year to continue their fantastic work. ..

Dr Kim Prescott, Veterinarian, is the owner of her third generation family business, the Tugun Veterinary Surgery on Golden Four Drive. Kim’s grandfather, Dr Charles (Charlie) Prescott worked as a vet on the Gold Coast, covering an entire area from Murwillumbah to Southport from the 1950s to the 70s. Following in his footsteps, Kim’s father Dr Robert (Bob) Prescott graduated as a vet and first began practicing at Nobby Beach, before buying the practice in Tugun in 1986. He stayed there for 24 years, handing over the reins to daughter Kim in 2008 before retiring in 2010.  ..
