Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) on the Southern Gold Coast are being invited to a Learning Forum on Saturday 14 May, 2016 at the Currumbin RSL, from 8am to 2pm.

Hosted by Connecting Southern Gold Coast and the Small Business Association of Australia (SBAA), the Forum is designed to enhance businesses across the Southern Gold Coast.

The all day forum will cover useful and practical topics including understanding the modern consumer and e-commerce, through to helpful tips for getting the most out of staff.

“Whether you are an entrepreneur or thinking of going into business, you will walk away with your head full of ideas following the presentations by successful business owners, educators and mentors,” said CSGC CEO, Peter Doggett.

Presenters will cover the following topics:
  • Understand modern consumer behaviour
  • Correct product pricing
  • Retailing trends
  • Why retailers fail
  • Standing out from the crowd
  • Why is a website important for retailers
  • What is e-commerce
  • How to make your website return investment
  • How to get the most from your staff
The cost of the full day forum for local operators is only $50 (incl. GST) to cover lunch, tea and coffee. Last year’s similar forum attracted over 80 participants, with places expected to be in high demand for the 2016 event.
