Posted on Wednesday, September 06, 2017

Almost 300 tourism and events delegates from across Queensland met at the annual DestinationQ conference in Toowoomba last month. The Gold Coast was well represented overall with 15 delegates from Connecting Southern Gold Coast, Surfers Paradise Alliance, Broadbeach Alliance, and Gold Coast Tourism.

Southern Gold Coast event organisers from SWELL, Buskers by the Creek and the Tour de Valley also attended, showing a great commitment from our region to the importance of tourism and events.

DestinationQ is an initiative of the Queensland Government and Tourism and Events Queensland to bring together industry and government to discuss current and future agendas for tourism and events in our spectacular state. This year’s forum was highly informative, with strong support from across the industry. The DestinatonQ Conference was hosted at The Armitage Centre, Toowoomba.
