Southern Gold Coast tourism businesses are invited to attend the “Third East-West Dialogue on Tourism and the Chinese Dream” at the Surfers Paradise Marriott Hotel from 23 to 25 of November 2017.
Led by the Griffith Institute for Tourism (GIFT) and Griffith Tourism Confucius Institute (TCI), the conference will address the topic 'Managing Tourism for Sustainable Growth' and also contains the second Australia-China Tourism Forum to further extend the growing Australia-China relations.
2017 marks the China-Australia Year of Tourism, celebrating this close relationship and recognising the importance of the China market for Australia’s tourism economy.
Tourism is one of the largest and fastest-growing sectors in the world, and has the potential to stimulate economic growth, create decent jobs, help preserve ecosystems, contribute to protecting cultural heritage, and support the peace building process.
