The Mateship Run is returning to Currumbin for its third year on Sunday 30 April, 2017. This event is an opportunity to come together during ANZAC commemorations and recognise the extraordinary contribution the past and present Australian Defence Forces make, and raise funds for Soldier On.
This year, all money raised will go towards funding a psychologist who commenced work at the Veteran Support Centre late last year. With more veterans committing suicide in 2016 than were killed during Afghanistan, it is certainly a very important service.
With a 1.5km, 5km or 10km course, participants of all ages and fitness levels can either run or walk along Currumbin’s stunning beachfront.
Currumbin RSL are encouraging locals to enter and are particularly calling on local businesses to enter a team in 2017. Groups with over 10 entrants receive a 10% discount, and the business with the most entries will win bragging rights for a whole year, as well as the opportunity to be featured in our local media.
