Tugun Beach will be hosting the Primitive Surf annual Postcode Challenge on May 17 & 18.
The city surfers usually head north to the Sunshine Coast but the golden shores of the Southern Gold Coast have won over our Brisbane neighbours for this year’s event.
The Post Code Challenge is an annual surfing competition for Brisbane based surfers run by Primitive Surf and World Surfaris, and for the first time this year, Tugun Beach will host the comp on 17 & 18 May.
Entrants must have a Brisbane postcode to be eligible (between Beenleigh and Caboolture), so pass on the details to any city dwellers you know that might like to get wet and spend the weekend on the better side of Brisbane.
Divisions are Opens, Womens, Juniors (under 20), Over 35's, Over 45's and the Classic – over 55's.
There’s over $10,000 worth of prizes to be won, with the champion of the Opens scoring an overseas surfing trip.
