Coolangatta now has a new, unique tour for visitors and locals to enjoy, with the launch of Australia Ninebot Coolangatta. The Ninebot is the latest technology in electric balancing vehicles and this is the first and only guided Segway tour of Coolangatta, featuring the southern beaches of the 8th World Surfing Reserve.
The guided coastal ride has a 30 minute and 1 hour tour option and operates Tuesday to Saturday from 9:00am to 4:00pm.
The 30 minute tour starts at Queen Elizabeth Park in Coolangatta proceeding to Snapper Rocks, following the beach promenade past Greenmount Beach (home of the Hokey Pokey) and Rainbow Bay before returning to Coolangatta.
The 1-hour tour commences at Queen Elizabeth Park and proceeds to North Kirra, the historical site of the sunken Coolangatta Ship and then returns to Kirra Point, classed by many as the best wave in the world. The tour then moves to Snapper Rocks, following the beach promenade past Greenmount Beach and Rainbow Bay and then back to Coolangatta.
Congratulations to Kenn Holmes for bringing this initiative to the Southern Gold Coast. It’s a fantastic new tourism product for Coolangatta, and will certainly help continue to put our beaches on the map.
