Melanoma March will return to Coolangatta for the third year in 2017, starting at The Strand at Coolangatta on Sunday 26 March as part of the annual campaign to raise funds and awareness for a cure for melanoma.
Last year the local event saw around 300 participants in the march and raised $18,000 which is helping to improve the survival rates as a result of on-going research projects.
Southeast Queensland has one of the highest rates of melanoma diagnosis in the country with nearly 3,000 people diagnosed each year in this region.
The Strand is encouraging individuals to register early, and groups of friends or co-workers to enter a team to march in the Melanoma March and help raise funds and awareness for this important cause.
