Melanoma March Pulls Fundraising Crowd to Coolangatta

Posted on Thursday, March 31, 2016

Coolangatta hosted the national fundraiser, Melanoma March, for the second year in a row on Sunday 20 March, 2016, with a turnout of over 250 people pounding the pavement from The Strand at Coolangatta.

An initiative of Melanoma Institute Australia (MIA), the annual event, now in its fifth year, was again supported by CSGC and we're pleased to see its presence growing to put Coolangatta on the map for this national fundraiser.

Apart from being a timely annual reminder to Slip, Slop, Slap, the proceeds from the event will go towards life-saving melanoma research and increasing awareness for this deadly disease.

Congratulations to the team at MIA and The Strand at Coolangatta along with local organisers who have cemented this important event in our yearly calendar. We look forward to seeing even more participants take part in next year’s Melanoma March on the Southern Gold Coast.
