Southern Gold Coast businesses are being invited to hear from acclaimed digital expert, Liz Ward from Tourism Tribe, who will facilitate a digital training workshop for local operators to brush up on their digital knowledge and grow skills in web marketing and social media.
Businesses can register to attend one of two 3-hour workshops held in June, and included in the cost is an annual subscription to www.TourismTribe.com – an innovative online community supported by digital experts and online resources where you can continue to learn about digital techniques, get support and further help as you need it.
“Technology continues to change at an accelerating rate and customers are continuing to change the way in which they make their travel decisions,” said Liz Ward, Managing Director of Tourism Tribe and Digital Coaching International.
“Today, 85% of travellers use their smart phones to make choices on where to go, where to stay and what to eat. Mobile technology, search engines and social media are powerful forces in how we can connect with our ideal customers and are now must-have strategies in business,” she said.
Peter Doggett, CEO of Connecting Southern Gold Coast is encouraging local operators to take up the low-cost, subsidised offer to upskill or refresh their digital marketing skills from the nationally recognised agency.
“Liz Ward comes highly recommended, with an extensive background in tourism marketing and digital strategy, as the founder and former CEO of the Australian Tourism Data Warehouse (ATDW),” said Mr Doggett.
“You can bring your own internet connection, laptop or tablet and implement some improvements to your online presence in real time during Liz’s presentation,” he said.
