Dedicated to reducing their carbon footprint, Currumbin RSL has taken their sustainability practices to the next level with the introduction of two new initiatives, this month welcoming the Aussie Powernator and PulpMaster to the club.
The Aussie Powernator will help regulate and reduce power, translating into less emissions and cost savings. The device sits between the power source at the power point and the appliance, such as refrigerators, freezers, ice makers and post-mix machines and then stabilises the voltage, reduces phase divergence of current and voltage, improves the Power Factor, steps down the current and cuts down power consumption.
The Club has also introduced the PulpMaster, an organic waste recycler. The innovative and sustainable technology transforms 100% of the clubs waste into pulp which is then converted to fertiliser.
“Sustainability is a huge part of our mission and vision statements at the Club that we pride ourselves in staying progressive with new changes and consistently adapting to newer technologies that allow us to advance,” said Currumbin RSL Community Relationships and Sustainability Manager Kerry Shepherd.
“Ethics and responsibilities have always been paramount in delivering our services not just for our customers, but how we operate as a business and our representation for the community.”
