Currumbin RSL CEO, Anne Stovin, has taken on the role of Interim Chair of Connecting Southern Gold Coast (CSGC) effective 1 April, 2016.
The interim appointment follows the departure of former Chair, Michael Tree, who stepped down at the end of his four year tenure on 31 March.
Ms Stovin has been a valued member of the CSGC Board of Directors since February 2015, and as CEO of Currumbin RSL has been responsible for the success of the award winning RSL Club in recent years.
“On behalf of Connecting Southern Gold Coast, we thank Anne for stepping up to take on the role of Interim Chair and have every confidence she will continue the good work of her predecessor,” said CSGC CEO, Peter Doggett.
“Anne is passionate about the Southern Gold Coast, and is a highly active member of the local business community,” he said.
“With her extensive experience in business and community events, we have no doubt Anne will do a fantastic job as Chair of our organisation.
“We also welcome incoming Division 14 Councillor, Cr Gail O’Neill, as a Director of the CSGC Board. Gail has had extensive involvement in the local business community as former President of the Southern Gold Coast Chamber of Commerce and Chair of Cooly Rocks On, and her input will be highly valued.”
Ms Stovin will be supported in her role by Board members Robyn Keenan, John Rankin, Elizabeth Roberts and Warwick Chesters who will all continue to serve voluntarily as Directors of CSGC.
