Cornerstone Stores Open Their Doors

Posted on Tuesday, February 13, 2018

What started as an idea by Currumbin local Kath Conforti and her kids over four years ago has now become a reality, with Currumbin’s Cornerstone Stores officially opening their doors to the public in February.

Situated on Currumbin and Tugun’s border, the mixed development is already proving to be a popular local hangout, bringing a unique range of new retailers together in an idyllic setting with plenty of greenspace for the local community to enjoy.

The boutique retail hub features an exciting lineup of stores, including:

  • Stable Coffee & Kitchen – A wholefood licensed café
  • Prae Store – All the latest trends in lifestyle, active, wellness and beauty
  • Quince Fromagerie – All things cheese, wine and deli foods
  • The Body Method - Pilates, Barre, Yoga, Meditation and Workshops
  • Zanzi Hairdressing – An eco-friendly, sustainable and green salon
  • World Resorts of Distinction – A leading Resort marketing agency
  • Kind Curations – The latest in women’s fashion
  • The Borrowed Nursery – Plants for all occasions and events
  • Earth Essence Beauty – Organic, natural and vegan beauty therapy

“It was amazing working with my family, it was a very special thing to do,” said Kath.

“It’s been quite a long process, finding the right architect who got what we wanted, and particularly saving the trees and bringing the natural environment into the development as much as possible. We’re Currumbinites – so we want to make sure we’re really proud of everything we do here.

“For us it was really important that the site looked as beautiful as possible, fitting in with the local amenity and the local environment."

Kath said the response from locals has been incredible so far – but it’s not just locals coming to check out what the newest site in Currumbin has to offer. “We called it Cornerstone because we really thought it would be the cornerstone of our community – and so far that’s what it’s doing.

“But it’s not just locals –people are coming from all over the Gold Coast to check it out. Our part of the coast is really coming up to the mark.

“People are so thrilled with the feel and the energy of the whole place. There’s lots of green areas out the back, there’s lots of children playing – it really is a dream come true.”

Cornerstone Stores is located at 570 Gold Coast Highway, Currumbin. For more details, visit their website here.
