An estimated 115,000 festival-goers converged on Coolangatta for five days and nights from June 6 – 10, celebrating everything there is to love about the 50s, 60s and 70s during this year’s Cooly Rocks On™.
More than 650 vintage cars lined the streets for the Show ‘n’ Shine and the annual street parade was a festival highlight with floats, cars, bikes and vans on display for all the community to enjoy.
40 artists played across three outdoor stages with 250 hours of free entertainment during the festival. International artist Lance Lipinsky proved to be a crowd pleaser with his vintage inspired Rock & Roll performance.
Competition was fierce at the Miss Cooly Rocks On™ and Miss Rockabilly pageants as finalists flaunted their best fashions for the crown. The Poodle Parade, with the addition of Pugs in 2018, was a crowd favourite.
Cooly has well and truly ‘rocked on’ for another year. The event will return to our seaside suburb from 5 - 9 June, 2019.
