Coolangatta Sets Stage for Free Christmas Carols

Posted on Friday, December 02, 2016

Queen Elizabeth Park will come alive with the spirit of Christmas on Sunday 11 December as The Strand presents the free Coolangatta Christmas Carols in the park. The whole family will enjoy a night of Christmas-inspired entertainment, with performances by Rudolph and his friends, carols by local community choir, The Voice Weavers, and a final set by folk band, The Bostocks.

Hosted by 91.7 ABC Gold Coast’s Nicole Dyer, it is set to be a magical night under the stars, again featuring the hugely popular Skydiving Santa, with thanks to Archie Jamieson from Gold Coast Skydive, and a fireworks finale.

Markets and food trucks will be open from 5pm, so bring a blanket and set up with something to eat before the show starts at 5.30pm.

St George bank has come on board to sponsor free face painting and the jumping castle for the kids, and will also be serving coffee with a cause. Grab a cup from their coffee cart with all proceeds donated to a local charity.
