Concrete Lines Skate Shop Makes Tracks to Coolangatta

Posted on Monday, April 27, 2015

Concrete Lines Skate Shop has relocated from Tweed to Coolangatta with a brand new flagship store at The Strand, featuring an extensive range of skateboards, longboards, clothing, shoes and accessories, set to lift the profile of skateboarding retail on the Gold Coast.

Owners Les Graue and Mel Morin have packed up their Wharf Street, Tweed Heads store after nearly 9 years, and made the transition to Coolangatta’s newest lifestyle precinct.

Executives from major skate brands such as Globe have said the Coolangatta store is setting a new bar for the skate scene – a boutique skate shop with a modern, industrial feel.

Part of The Strand’s $60 million redevelopment, the Concrete Lines store features an impressive timber fit out with glass walls and striking streetfront artwork, fusing the skateboarding lifestyle into the custom-built retail outlet.

The unique shop fit includes skate decks housed in custom-built timber racks, and shoes displayed from fishing line strung on industrial strength poles.

Concrete Lines is open at The Strand at Coolangatta Monday to Saturday from 9.00am to 5.30pm, Thursday night until 9.00pm and Sunday from 10.00am to 4.00pm.
