The City of Gold Coast and Gold Coast Tourism, with the support of the Gold Coast 2018 Commonwealth Games Corporation, invite tourism operators to attend the industry’s first Accessible Tourism Forum at the Arts Centre Gold Coast on Tuesday 7 February.
People with accessibility needs account for 8.2 million overnight trips and $8 billion or 11% of Australia’s overall tourism expenditure.
Accessible tourism is much broader than people with a disability. Older people, parents with prams and travellers from overseas can all benefit from improved information, buildings that are accessible and an inclusive approach to customer service.
Come along to find out how you can make your business more accessible and tap into this growing market. Mayor Tom Tate will open the forum, with the full agenda available here.
