For the first time the Queensland Music Festival will be coming to the Southern Gold Coast.
In the coming weeks we will be calling for bands apply to perform at the event.
Invitations will be posted on the SGC website, the Southern Cross University (SCU) website, the SGC Music Hub website, and other partner websites. Invitations will also be publicised on local radio and news outlets. All applications will be received and a selection committee will choose six bands to perform based on the following criteria: they must be Gold Coast bands, the must perform original music, and they must be the right fit for the event.
Unsuccessful bands will be included in the Musicians Register for the SGC Music Hub project and invited to apply for future events. They will also be encouraged to participate in other GCCC cultural initiatives such as Making Music Live and Avenue.
So if you know of a band that fits this bill, give them a heads up so that when the call goes out, they will have the opportunity to apply to perform at this fantastic festival!
