Gold Coast Airport has announced plans to construct a $50 million Rydges hotel at the airport - which will be a game changer for the airport and the Southern Gold Coast.
With seven storeys and 192 rooms, the hotel will offer sweeping views of Kirra beach to the east and across the runway to the hinterland to the west, adding another level of convenience for travellers.
Other features of the hotel will include a rooftop bar, viewing deck, resort-style swimming pool plus function, conference and meeting facilities.
There has been a call for an airport hotel from passengers with early flights and time poor travellers, with the added bonus of being located a stone’s throw from world-class beaches and our unique Southern Gold Coast villages.
The hotel will be situated within close proximity to the Gold Coast Airport’s major terminal expansion project, with both projects set to commence in the third quarter of 2018. The hotel is set for completion in 2019.
