The annual Tugun Lights Up returns in December to kick off a month long celebration of Christmas in Tugun Village.
Now in it’s 6th year Tugun Lights Up promotes the village spirit of coming together to enjoy the glittering Christmas Lights displays in each shopfront window.
To kick off the celebrations, an evening of family fun will be held on Saturday 1 December in the village. Enjoy Christmas entertainment with the children’s production Let It Snow, as well as carols, face painting and market stalls for Christmas gifts, while dining under the stars with special menus from the local restaurants.
Come and walk the Christmas trail collecting stamps along the way and go into the draw to win a Bendigo Bank Christmas account of $500, see Santa and catch up with neighbours under the iconic Fig Tree in Toolona Street.
VOTE FOR THE BEST WINDOW DISPLAY
Villagers and visitors can vote for their favourite window display by nominating the business with the most outstanding Christmas lights. Voting forms can be collected from the Tugun Community Bank Branch Bendigo Bank on Golden Four Drive on the night and returned to Santa's Letterbox located in the bank.
Tugun Lights Up is an initiative of Tugun Progress Association (TPA) in conjunction with Connecting Southern Gold Coast and is supported by Cr Gail O'Neill, City of Gold Coast (Division 14), Tugun Community Bank Branch Bendigo Bank, Gold Coast Airport, Ray White Tugun, Currumbin RSL, Jann Stuckey MP and Karen Andrews MP.
