Panamuna Project and Sustainable Surf Collab are proud to present a photography exhibition from local photographer João De Carvalho.
The local community is welcome to the opening night on Wednesday 6 June from 6 - 8pm, showcasing surf related photographs from the most beautiful part of the Gold Coast...the south!
As a professional Graphic Designer and Art Director for more than 15 years, photography was part of João's work routine, mainly photographing products. But, things started to change when he moved to the Gold Coast in October 2014.
João completely fell in love with the beauty of the city and the surf culture here and would spend hours at the beach just admiring the view and the surf. Without much expectation, he started to bring his camera with him just for fun, and after a while it became his hobby. It was a perfect getaway to clear his mind, relax, forget work and enjoy the beautiful city.
His designer's eye helped him to find his style of photography, always looking for a perfect balance of colours, light and elements. But what drives him the most is that, every single photo is unique, everything can happen and change in seconds and he has only one chance to translate everything that he is feeling in that moment in one photo.
That is the 'The Beauty Of A Second'.
Locals can view the exhibition until 4 July, 2018.
