The winter months don't slow us down on the Southern Gold Coast, with plenty happening across the region over the next month for locals and visitors to enjoy.

ANZAC Day Dawn Service
On April 25, the ANZAC Day Dawn Service held at Elephant Rock, Currumbin and hosted by Currumbin RSL will once again be a major Australian Event. The Dawn Service commences at 5am and is an opportunity to remember and pay respects to all those served for our freedom in all conflicts.
Twilight at Cornerstone Stores
Tugun's new Cornerstone Stores presents Twilight. Held from 4:00 - 7:00pm on Friday 27 April, there will be live music, delicious food and chill vibes for all the community to enjoy.
Swing Pop Up
Shimmy into The Strand on Saturday 28 April for their regular free Swing Pop Up. Supported by My Juju Dance Fever, you wil be swinging up a storm from 6:00pm with the team from Swing Dance Gold Coast.
Currumbin Community Market
Source local produce and enjoy relaxing midweek entertainment at the new Currumbin Community Market. Held every Thursday morning from 6 – 11am in the park opposite Currumbin RSL, the markets give locals the opportunity to buy fresh seasonal produce direct from local farmers, grab a coffee and listen to live local music in the picturesque park.
Yum Cha in the Garden
Cranky Joe’s Ugly Dumplings at Currumbin now holds Yum Cha in the Garden from 4:00 - 6:00pm every Friday. Bring the family along for a delicious feast and relax in the garden with authentic eats and casual vibes.
Luke Bennett @ Deck Acoustics
Come and enjoy the talents of Tasmanian born, Luke Bennett at Currumbin RSL’s free Deck Acoustics on Friday 4 May from 5pm. Influenced by songwriters such as Jack Johnson, John Mayer and Xavier Rudd, audiences can expect both originals and covers with his own unique raw twist.
Fat Albert
Catch one of the regions most renowned bands, Fat Albert at The Coolangatta Hotel from 2pm on Sunday 6 May. Playing a blend of covers and original music, this free live show is guaranteed to get you on your feet.
CPR Awareness at Kirra
Support your community and learn Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) skills that may assist in an emergency. Delivered by Queensland Ambulance Service, the session will be held from 10 - 11am on Tuesday 8 May at Kirra Hill Community Centre and is free for local community groups.
Tugun Village Business Network Launch
Tugun businesses are invited to attend the first Tugun Village Business Network event on Wednesday 9 May, 2018 at Backbone Bar. The inaugural event will be an opportunity to meet and mingle with familiar faces and new businesses in the community with informal after work drinks. This event is an initiative of the Tugun Community Bank Branch Bendigo Bank.

Swimmers from across Australia will flock to the Southern Gold Coast on 13 May for the Gold Coast’s premier ocean swim. The Cooly Classic offers competitors the opportunity to conquer three of Australia’s most revered surf breaks – Snapper Rocks, Coolangatta and Kirra.
